Meet our sweet and social 8.5 month year old girl Cora! This German Shepherd is looking for a breed experienced family that is committed to put in the time and effort to train a smart, energetic juvenile. It is important her new family can work consistently on providing structure, training, obedience and A LOT of exercise!

Before Cora came to us, she wasn't too socialized and as a result she can be a bit clingy and nervous in new situations.  She is very lovable with volunteer and staff members, and is happy to greet familiar faces with a hug and few licks.  She knows her basic manners such as sit, wait, paw, lay and “go place/crate”.  In the home, she doesn't like to be crated and was said to be quite the escape artist! She has been training daily working on crate training and has come a very long way and will go in on her own and fall asleep!  A family that is home often to continue working on crate training and potential separation anxiety will be great.

​Cora does really well with other large, playful dogs and is currently boarding at a doggy daycare where she plays all day!  Another large breed to show her the ropes would be very beneficial.  She has been exhibiting nippy “puppy” behavior and will need a family that will be able to work on correcting this.  Cora seems to be doing this for attention, or to get something she wants but she does respond well to correction.  Structure, routine, and manners training will help Cora a lot!
