Look at this beauty! Kema is a very special girl who had a very bad start at life. At 11 mos old she was discovered having violent seizures in the basement of a Plainfield home. Upstairs her owner was being arrested on drug charges. Kema was rushed to receive medical care and was treated for grand mal seizures. A drug/tox screen revealed cocaine in her system, allegedly fed to her so the police would not find it on her owner. Kema was saved and was placed with a wonderful family. Sadly, due to a change in family lifestyle, they need to rehome this special girl.
Kema is about 2 years old and is a very calm shepherd with the sweetest disposition. She loves people, receiving attention and enjoys playing with toys. Squeaky toys are her favorite! She can be a bit mouthy while playing, so she is better suited to a home with children age 7 and up. Kema is a big girl weighing in at 92 lbs and could probably stand to loose a few pounds. And she is an absolute dream to walk on a leash! Kema is dog reactive so she needs to be the only animal in the home.
Kema still suffers from seizures to this day and is on medication that she receives daily. The cost of her medication is roughly $100 per month. Any interested applicants should be financially ready to take that cost on.
Kema is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. This sweetheart will fill your home and your heart with love, so please consider adding her to your family.
