Look at our pretty Lola! She was found as a stray by the Camden County Animal Shelter. They were able to find her owners but they did not want this sweetheart back. And for the life of us, we cannot understand why!
Lola can be a bit aloof with strangers at first, so you need to have a slow approach with her. Once she is comfortable, she will love you and give you hugs and kisses! She is very much treat and food motivated. Per the shelter she LOVES hot dogs. So training her will be easy! She does know some commands. She will do "sit" and "down" with hand signals. Lola pulls a little on the leash but corrects easily.
Since being with us, we have tried several meet and greets with Lola and other dogs. She will become reactive and stressed. So its our recommendation that she is the only dog in the home. Lola was able to walk past the caged shelter cats without issue. Kitty took a few swipes and backed away. So its possible that she may be cat friendly. Meet and greets with any applicants that have cats in the home would be required.
So please consider this sweetheart if you're looking for a new family member.
