Max
Age: 9 Months Sex: Male Size: Large Leadership Needs: Experienced Handler Good With Dogs: Possible Good With Cats: No Good With Children: Yes, 7 and Up Max is a 9 month old Belgian Malinois. Prior to coming into GSRNJ, he was surrendered to the Liberty Humane Association as an owner surrender as he was too much dog for his original family.
Max is a high energy boy and will need a home that will be committed to giving him the exercise, training and mental stimulation that he needs. He is very social with people but can be a bit forward and reactive with other dogs due to lack of socialization. With more training and exposure its possible that he can learn to be friendlier towards other dogs. Its something that our volunteers are working on with him. So for now we recommend that he is the only animal in the home. He loves to play ball and would be ideal as a running companion. Due to his high energy and lack of training, he is best suited to a home with older children and NO CATS. He is neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccines. Max is a young dog that needs structure and guidance. Our volunteers have been working with him on his basic commands. He is a sharp cookie and picks things up quickly. He needs an active family that will be committed and continue on with his training. If you feel that you can give this boy the love and training that he needs, please fill out an application today! |
