Several months ago you may have seen the story where hundreds of German Shepherd dogs were pulled from an extreme hoarding and puppy mill situation in Southern Georgia. Sammy's mother, an Anatolian Shepherd was one of those dogs seized and brought up to the Montclair Shelter. Mom was able to have her puppies in a warm and loving foster home and they all received the vet care that they deserved. Once of age, the shelter reached out to us and GSRNJ was tasked in finding homes for several of the puppies. Four of her litter mates were quickly placed with pre-approved applicants. Sammy is the last of her litter mates who is need of a furever home.
Sammy is a sassy and strong willed 12 week old Anatolian Shepherd mix who loves to cuddle, play and lay on your feet. She will definitely keep you on your toes. She's had several meet and greets with other dogs and due to her propensity for being dominant, she may be better situated with a male dog or a submissive female. Applicants must have the time to dedicate to her training and she will be placed in the best suitable home to set her up for success.
