Teufel

Age: 9 Years Old
Sex: Female
Size: Large

Leadership Experience: Experienced
Good With Dogs: Yes
Good With Cats: No
Good With Children: Yes, 12 and up
Teufel is an incredibly sweet, 9 year old black and tan German Shepherd. She grew up with an 8-year old black Shepherd, Schwarz. Unfortunately, their owner passed away and they were surrender by a family member to a shelter. The family was only able to supply limited information, but we've found that both German Shepherds are very friendly,  great with people, and both do well around other dogs.

We originally wanted to keep this bonded pair together for adoption, but after months of being in our care with our volunteers, we have reevaluated their situation. While we initially thought it would be best to keep them together it has become apparent that they could be adopted out separately and in fact it may actually be better for them both.

Schwarz has more energy than Teufel and at times Schwarz seems to want to dominate and will jump on Teufel.  Teufel does not like when he does this and at times they can get cranky with each other. Both dogs can live with another dog -- a meet and greet will be required -- but no cats!

Teufel is an older gal and won't be up for long hikes, but walks very well on a leash and would love to stroll her new neighborhood. She loves people and LOVES attention. She loves to play with toys and balls. Teufel could probably stand to lose a few pounds and is very much in need of a dental visit.

If you think this love bug could be your new best friend, please fill out an application today!
